I observed something interesting the other day. If I am behind someone on the freeway and relatively close to them I get far less wind rush noise. I guess this makes sense.....I am draftin'! But, it makes me wonder if a bug shield would change the airflow enough to mimic this scenario.

Just get a louder stereo! Yes the hardtop is a little quieter. I am thinking of using the bedliner on the inside to help a little.

You guys are freaking me out with your talk of stereos turned up to 28. I run mine at 16-18 when on the freeway, with a softtop, and it's plenty loud. Like, I have to yell at passengers loud. Like, my fiance constantly turns it down loud. I think if I put it up to 28, my eardrums would implode.

Has ANYMORE tried to make a wind deflector
On our motor coach, camping world added what they call an adhesive rain gutter stip in front of our entry door, and it was amazing how the air deflected off this long strip and forced the air over the hinges. It is a low profile strip.

Maybe a horizontal strip running across the header could resolve this problem.

The product is available in black or white and used a strong 3M adhesive tape.

I put my soft top on within a week of buying my jeep. It was nice and quiet untill I tool it through the car wash few times. Now its loud as hell. BUT on the plus side, my old yj used to spread the top of the soft door apart from the top. Talk about loud and cold!!!!

I have a 2007 JK with the soft top and Firestone Destination M/Ts and it can get a bit tough to hear on the hwy. If you're still running factory speakers I'd start there. The sound bar speakers are a breeze but the dash speakers, are a *@&!@?# pain.
