Default JK model

I have a 2010 JK and the previous owner peeled all of the decals off so I was just curious to know how you can determine what edition it is( X,sport, etc.) thanks

does your JK have body colored fenders? Do you have sway bar and axel look buttons by your shifter?

If none of the above are on or in your JK it's a X or sport model.

Go to the Chrysler website, there should be a place where you can type your vin number in to get all ur info... Also, your local dealership can do the same....

A sahara will have painted fenders, and more than likley a hardtop and sidesteps. rubicon will have rockrails skidplates and lockers. and a X will have no side steps, softtop (sometimes) really small tires and the RIMS

Here is an X

Sahara

Rubicon

If everything stock is easy.
Sport - only softop, small tires, no power locks or mirrors, black fender flares
Sahara - leather seats, silver details inside, power locks and windows, color matching fender flares, hard top (and maybe softop too?)
Rubicon - sway bar disco button, BFG MT tires, black fender flares
If you have blue seats then is the islander package. If you have a mountain package it should say it on the seats (but maybe the black hood decal would still be there)

Hope this helps

You'll also want to know what diff gearing it has, particularly if you're thinking of fitting bigger tyres (came stock with 3.21, 3.73, & 4.10:1 ratios depending on model, auto/manual trans, & towing pack not to mention the many lower aftermaket ratios if fitted) so jack up an axle, turn a wheel a full revolution & count the driveshaft revolutions to work it out.
