JK spring rates with VIN only?
Anyone know how to find spring rates based on VIN only? No spring tags on the 09 JK X I recently purchased (soft top only). Door tag says 2775lb front / 3200 lb rear GAWR. 4th digit VIN is F. There was no spring specific info on the build sheet I looked up through Jeep Customer Help. Thx

Hey there!
This thread may help, I didn't get a chance to read all the way through it however. Also, you can call your local dealer with the vin number and either ask them your question or tell them you're looking to replace the factory springs and need to know what the rates are.

Info below, plenty of it, you'll just have to decipher what you're looking for. Why not go with 17/58's or above? Closer to 19/60's if you want to add some weight.

Think I'm just gonna do the Rancho 2" Sport kit, with the sales gong on now it's by far the best deal since I need shocks anyways.

is there little swatch of paint color on the coils that you can see? Early on someone figured out the numbers corresponded with a little paint mark on the coils ie blue or red or green.
