JKU Soft Top Tension Spring Removal - 2012 JKU
 

I am trying to remove and replace the top onto a stock JKU frame. I am having trouble removing the tensioner spring that sits in the housing in the middle of the soft top frame, on the passenger and driver sides. This is the tension spring that runs to the soft top header towards the front. Has anyone removed this spring? Having difficulty getting the spring hoop (hook) of in the lip of the housing. Any advice?
