Default Leather Steering Wheel

What's the best way to clean/restore the leather on the steering wheel? Would a simple leather conditioner work?

I'm not even heavy on the thing and it feels all worn out

Best method I've found is to use a very mild soapy water solution (very mild, water the soap way down) and lightly wash it with a cloth, to get the residue/dirt off. Dry it out good and follow up with a leather conditioner to make it look great again. Did this on my TJ wheel and it always looked good.

Murphey's Oil Soap works well to clean leather without drying it out.

Mine started peeling and is being replaced under warranty. I don't think they used the best "leather" for the steering wheel. I've never had a steering wheel do this.

A steering wheel cover and sear covers where the very first things I bought for my jeep. It's cheap insurance.

Four words......Pecards Leather Dressing Conditioner! Once you've tried Pecards for leather, you won't go back to anything else!

Put everything, BUT NOT WATER.

If you do, the steering will look awful in a few years

If you don't, the leather will be nice for the next 25 years
