Default which light combo. (read post first!!!)

is there adequate light cover on the road with just the headlights?

the reason for my asking is that i had ordered the 23s package and recently found out that the fog lights were no longer part of this package.

soooooo... im pondering if i should place the order for stock fogs since my order is still in BG or if i should skip the stock fogs and order some aftermarket spot/fogs?

please voice your opinion and vote in the pole.

tia.

if you plan on getting an aftermarket bumper, then don't worry about adding the oem fog lights. if you are keeping the oem bumper, then hurry and add the oem foglights to it.
however, there are several aftermarket bumpers that accomodate the oem foglights into them.
aftermarket foglights will always be better than the oem ones if you don't care about where they are mounted.

how do you usually wire up the aftermarket lights? do they come with their own switch?

i was looking at shrockworks middy since i thought i was getting stock fogs. how big are the stock fogs?

you did ask for opinions...

actually, the factory fogs on the JK are probably the most effective factory fog lights I have ever used. A close second are the fogs on my ZJ. the OEM fogs on the wife's Tahoe are nearly unnoticable... unless it truly is foggy out. then you can see a difference.

the fog light on my JK are very useful in adding a solid beam of light below the low beams. I'd love to mod em to run with the high beams, too. I like em that much.

they do NOT double as a driving light, but I live in a very small town and it's 10-15 miles of rural roads to get to another town. The fogs spread a very bright beam from ditch to ditch, which helps on unlit roads.

None of the above in the poll. As soon as you get the Jeep, do the Daniel Stern headlamp upgrade. Worth every penny, factory fogs not needed afterwards for fill, just for rain, snow, and fog

Wink Fogs are nice to have if it gets dark...

Hey, when you have the factory headlights on, you see five to fifteen feet in front of you, which is usually fine, but if you are on a trail and the sun goes down, the fog lights show from the front of the headlight to the bumper.(0 to five feet) I have both and are getting some KC long range lights to help see everything. but unless you plan on going wheeling at night (which isn't a grand idea) you prob. will be fine with out the fog.
