Default Locks

I could not find this in the manual and I did a search. I have an 07 Sahara 4dr with an auto trans. When you put it in drive all the doors lock no problem But when you stop it does not unlock which is a pita. Because if I get out the drivers side and go to the back I have to hit the unlock button again. Is there a way to turn this off or make it unlock automatically. Second if the doors in the back are locked and you try to open the door it will not unlock automatically. You have to unlock the door manually first and then open the door is this normal.

I do not know of any vehicle that unlocks the doors when you stop. On my Jeep when I pull the handle to open the door all the doors unlock including the tailgate. ( this is true of the front doors...the rear you have to unlock b4 opening ).

There is a procedure to prevent the doors from locking...

The “Automatic Door Locks” feature can be enabled or disabled as follows:
1. Close all doors and place the key in the ignition.
2. Cycle the ignition switch between LOCK and ON and then back to LOCK four times ending up in the LOCK position.
3. Depress the power door LOCK switch to lock the doors.
4. A single chime will indicate the completion of the programming.
5. Repeat these steps if you want to return this feature to its previous setting.

That'll cure things.. all the best Dave.
