Looking at the Teraflex leveling kit...
As the title says, I'm looking at the Teraflex leveling kit. I have a 2012 JK Rubicon. I would like to know if there is anything I should be concerned about if I install this system. I have done some research on the site, but couldn't find a definite answer. Will the JK require an alignment after the install?
I'm basically looking for a little lift, so down the road I can have a little bit larger tire on.....plus I hate the factory rake that the JK's come with.

There is not a yes/no answer to this it all depends how your install goes. Most likely you won't need an alignment, but I would recommend it. Also, you'll probably need to straighten your steering wheel. Basically, install it, see how it drives and go from there... You'll probably be able to get 33's under the leveling kit, but not much else. what size tire are you hoping to go to? if it's 35's, one option is to install the 2.5" kit with shock extensions for now..
give us some more info on "future plans" and we can answer a little bit more..

You wont need an alignment. All u have to do is recenter your steering wheel by loosening the 2 bolts on the turnbuckle on the draglink and then turn it one way or the other till your steering whell is centered and then tigjten the bolts back up. I put the 2.5" teraflex on my 12 with no issues. I did get an adjustable front trackbar to recenter the axle but you prob dont need it with the leaveling kit.
Thanks for the posts!
Just basically looking to get the JK a little higher...
Don't want to do anything to drastic. I really don't off road, and basically going for looks at this point.
What would be the best direction to go at this point?

I put the 2"front and 1" rear coil spring kit (1.5 teraflex performace coil kit) on my 08 jku .real easy to install .only wheel that gives you any trouble is the driver side front but if you have a kid or wife to lift up on other side of axle it goes right in. this kit takes the rake away and rides better than stock
The kit is super easy to install, no more than 2 to 3 hours if you have the right tools (I used a 3 ton floor jack and jack stands). I' can't say that i noticed any difference in the ride at all and you will not need to recenter the axle, like others said maybe the steering wheel but that was not the case for me. You can also run 35" tires if you trim your fenders and pinch seam.
Another option would be to do a body lift instead.

I have the leveling kit installed on my 12 jku and it's pretty easy to install. No alignment was needed (I did have the alignment checked after install) and I run 33x12.5s with no issues or rubbing at all. I do have new wheels with 4.7 backspacing tho

Speaking from experience...
I put on the Teraflex leveling kit and it was just fine. No need to do any alignment, no need to center the steering wheel... HOWEVER, after having it for about 2 months, I went with a 2.5" coil lift with shock extensions. I just wanted the Jeep to have a more obvious look. Now I have moved to a 2.5" kit with shocks.
My point, save yourself the cash and go straight to the 2.5" kit. You won't regret it. The install is almost identical anyway. Something easy to do in the driveway with a jack and a couple jackstands.
