Exclamation loose door surround

has anyone else had an issue where the soft top door surround on the front drivers door, seems loose and moves around a little. I have tightened the twist knobs as much as possible still loose and it seems to be what is now causing my roof leak. havent had a chance to really mess with it, maybe putting something in between to tighten it up. Just curious if anyone has seen this and what they did to fix it

open the installation guide

See if there is anything else in this guide that may be loose or broken around the door frame.

I bought some sticky velcro and put it between the metal roll bar and the plastic door surround. No more loose door surround.

The dealer put small nylon washers between the surround and the top of my roll bar to tighten mine up......no more leaks for me

Sometimes mine are loose, sometimes they feel pretty snug, don't really know why. I'm usually too bummed that I have to put the top on that I don't care about the fit!

What a great suggestion and thanks for posting it! I first encountered this problem last weekend and I too noticed that no matter how tight I got the knobs, it still moved some. Can't wait to get home and try this out.

i think im goin to try the washer trick or the velcro thing, i dont know what the deal is and why all of a sudden it got loose and cant tighten, the only thing i can think is the roll bar padding was stuffed under it cause it isnt fadded from the sun right there lol but that doesnt want to stay now
