loose on the road
Even a stock jk is going to have more sway and body roll than one new to a jeep might be used to; which can give a bit of a flighty feeling with steering. How long have you been driving it, or more so is this something new or has it felt like this since day 1?
I would think the best way to determine if you have a problem would be to drive a different (but not lifted!) JK. If you don't have someone locally who can help, just go to the dealer and ask to test drive a new one. I would not have described my Jeep's steering as loose when I bought it new in '07, but my youngest son used to complain he thought it was compared to his F150 pick-up. So, it may just be perception.
My 12 has always felt that way. All I have in it is a leveling lift. I normally only really notice it after I drive my 98 Cherokee for a couple of days. The wheel base on the Wrangler is about 10" shorter than the Cherokee. I think it is normal.
Test drove two 2013 2 doors before buying. One was sloppier than the other but both had tendency to wander a bit. Believe its nature of the beast. more connection to the road makes it great on the trail.

Steering is definitely a bit "sloppier" than other cars. After driving my jk for awhile I don't notice anymore. I'm just used to the constant minor corrections. I only really notice when I go and drive another car and then compare the two.

Id say it has a lot to do with short wheel base..I use to own and 2door jimmy and even it was longer.
I drive work trucks everyday(current ford expedition, past youcon 2500 f250 and 350 e350 vans) it is wild the difference when jumping back in my jeep.
I strongly beleive these 2door jks are not the type of vehicals that you buy to go fast
