My wife threw the keys on the passenger side of the dash and the keys went behind the dash. I cant even see them at this point. I tried removing the glove box but still cant get to them. HOw do I remove the dash. Has anyone done this?

Maybe one of those magnetic pens they sell at the auto shop. Some are pretty small, and can be telescoped out. I have three sizes that come in very handy.

Lol.. ask a question about ANYTHING mechanical on a JK and you'll get responses and opinions from 35 different forum members within minutes. Ask a question about that black hole behind the dash and all you get is forum members wishing you luck and tellin you about how many things they've lost down there. It's a mystery, that hole. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if the JK dash and the clothing dryer at my place were in cahoots, and somewhere near my propery I am gonna one day stumble upon a pile of keys, old packs of gum, money, grocery lists, and the match to every solo sock that I have in my drawer.

Good luck man, I don't envy you. If you do get your keys out, post the how-to cuz I know a couple people who could use the info too.

I bought my jk used, and I found one of those that had been dropped behind the dash.

why call the cops? just flip it over and drive it home.. thats what I did with one of my TJ's when I rolled it....

I lost a couple things in my dash on the JK.. funny thing is they dont rattle so I dont care.... my thought is you would have to remove the dash and the HVAC box to get them out.. as it looks to me like things go between the firewall and the HVAC plenum..
