Mac Tools code reader.
Should a Mac Tools code reader work on a 2007 Wrangler Sahara? Everything is stock - no mods.
I am having issues with my ABS, so my neighbor brought over his Mac Tools code reader and plugged it in. It said it could not establish a link/connection. The dealership says they have plugged in and didn't receive any codes. This is making me wonder if they ever did.... |
what issue are you having?

The ABS randomly kicks on - when it is not supposed to. The brakes will act like the ABS has kicked on during normal stops, slow stops, pulling into a driveway... you name it, they kick on.

time to hit the dealer and get the brake computer moded.

OBDII is standard since 1995. The Mac reader SHOULD read it.

Code reader
Not all code readers can access the ABS computer. You have to have one capable of reading ABS.

I have whatever the mid range reader Advance Auto sells, and it works for every other car I've ever used it on, but I get a "Link Error" when trying to connect to the JK.......Lame

I have a Mac code reader and can't get into the ABS either. It works on powertrain, though.
