I fill my 2011 until it shuts off which is what you should always do. Then hang up the nozzle. Everything is working great with no overfills. And I should know since it gets such crappy gas mileage that I have to fill it up about twice a week.

I smile everytimte I fill it up though cause it's a Jeep!!!

It just started happening on my 2008. Just read another thread that said it was a known issue and covered under warranty. I'm going to look into this tmrw.

I have an 08, what kind of problem are people having?

The only one I get with my jeep is that I can pump until the nozzle clicks. At that point its full and I cannot top it off even a little or it will over flow. In every gas tank I ever filled I always top it off so it was habit. Doing it in the JK resulted in gas on the floor. After figuring that out if I leave it at the first click then all is good.

But a few other issues- shift boot stiff in cold weather, weeping rear diff seal, funky rr psgr door lock, etc.

It's a jeep thing...
There is a TSB for the shifter boot, I had mine done last spring so far so good this fall.

As for the diff seal i hit mine on a rock so if it was leaking before I wouldnt have known haha.

Agree w/ BornJeep. When it is full, it is full! There is no topping it off unless you like gas shooting down the side of your jeep.

Never had a problem with my 2011. Although I did hear about this problem when I was researching mine and had some concerns but no problem so far. Had it about two months and pushing about 2700 miles so far so good!
