Manual Trans Question
I am looking at a 2011 jk with a 6 speed and am worried if I have the doors off that somebody could move the jeep since its a stick. Is this possible? If so is there something I could do to fix that?
Thanks in advance

it is a risk
No way to lock the tranny but your steering wheel is locked.

i wouldn't worry about it that much, unless you have lots of friends that like to mess with. I've owned a jeep for a long time now and usually don't drive with the top on and i've only had it moved once, which some friends did to mess with me.

The steering wheel doesn't lock on my 10 Rubi 6spd. Unless it changed I thought that was only on autos. I have an after market "autolock" device from another vehicle that I could use for the brake or clutch. It actually works very well. I haven't used it on my 10 Rubi 6spd yet but maybe I should.

Are you really worried about this? Just wondering maybe an auto would allay your fears

I've got an '08 and my steering wheel locks, BUT I've never locked it myself for safety reasons. I have had the doors off, top off in a college town ever since I bought it. No one's ever pushed it away yet.
I figure if it gets stolen, that's what insurance is for.

Steering wheel locks on my 07 manual after the key is removed. That's a standard feature on both manuals and autos. Just turn your wheels before removing the key.
