What year and how many miles? Just because you bought it used doesn't mean there's no warranty. The factory warranty transfers to subsequent owners.

The lifetime Jeep/Mopar warranty doesn't transfer to new owners (even if the new owner is a husband/wife after the purchaser passes away - go figure)

Default Boot might be something to check out

I haven't had the problem, thank God. I have read up on threads about it. Sometimes the boot can be the problem. Usually it creates problems on cold mornings before it limbers up some . Clearly that's not your case. I read through a TSB for the 2012's that said that the top of the boot should be 2" from the top of the knob. Just moving it to the right spot helped one guy during warm weather (spring). On pre 2011's I think the top of the boot is much lower. I would just double check that it's not tight or pushed down the stick real far.

Best of luck getting the bugs out

At a minimum changing to a better tranny fluid may help. It's not a cure to a bad problem but will help if its a minor synchro issue.

I changed out to amsoil synchromesh with only 15k on the motor. I'm more of a preventive maintence guy.

Ill try anything. Some people are saying $900 to $1300 to fix to synchro's. I still have to buy a new airbag computer thinks the driver side went off so that's dead too! Just my luck I guess...

Default Mine popped out of 1 3 and 5 after wheeling the rubicon

I really tweaked and mangled the transmission crossmember causing the transmission to be in contact with the body and not allowing the shifter to move up far enough to stay in gear.
