Mirror Ding problems.............
Well I had one of the nice dings in the quarter panel from the mirror and tried to get it out with paintless dent removal. well it was so deep that it caused some bubbling in the paint when removed. since this is Jeeps fault by putting the mirror so low would it be covered in the bumper to bumper warranty? I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem how DC or a dealer handeled this one?
I have had the same thing happen 2 times , the 1st time it was at the dealer for a recall, of the throw out bearing the removed the strap and the wind got the door, and the second time my negligence , and it cost me 300 to have the dent sucked out and repainted, so even though that is a strange flaw hopefully they fix in future models, there ain't nothing dc do about it
I also dented my new rubi with a runaway door, but I did it on both sides the first time I took the doors off. Unstrapped them, went in to take a leak came back and a wind gust had blown both doors back. No paint damage though so I guess it could be worse. LOL..my girlfriend calls them "dimples"
happened to me when i got it home from dealer, they did a rush prep job after it came back from them putting the alarm and remote start in, The prep guy never put the straps on and the door swung open and wham..didnt even notice it at first(it was dark).... but ofcourse someone pointed it out, it was pretty deep.. the dealer paid for it, had a my paintless dent guy fix $100 dealer wrote me a check...
Happened to me yesterday. I was fully aware of the possibilty that it could happen. But I let go of the door 1 sec and that whas i enough
-A "dimple" on the passenger side
I´m thinking of putting some small rubber stops on the panels, as it is bound to happen again

It's a shame that the placement of the mirrors allows this to happen, but this is a known issue to watch out for, and has been posted about in many different threads on this very forum!
I'm sorry that this happened to you, but I don't see how it's someone else's fault.
