Default Mirror Relocation Bracket Question

I had a 2010 Unlimited Sport and often removed the doors, BUT, I like having a mirror, too. I bought a pair of relocation brackets, but found only the driver's side to be useful and permanently kept it mounted on the relocation bracket, the passenger side remained attached to the door.

question is...I traded in the 2010, and now have a 2013 Unlimited Sport S and this thing has power mirrors and heated mirrors. I want to relocate the driver's side mirror to the base of the A-pillar again, just like in the photo above, but I haven't messed around yet with removing this mirror to see if it's even possible since it clearly would have a wiring harness attached to somehow.

Anybody with experience in relocating their power mirrors? How'd you address the harness situation??

thanks!

I have a '12 with power mirrors. I left those mirrors on the doors and I use Dietech's relocation brackets and a set of non powered mirrors for when the doors come off. This way I have the power mirrors still, and when the doors are off I still have mirrors in the factory locations. I realize this isn't exactly the answer to your question, but it's a solid option! Old pic, but you get the picture

after posting, something similar to that is what i've been focusing on. i've been topless/doorless for the last two days and backing up is a real pain...especially backing into my driveway! lol

The Dietec mirror brackets place the mirrors at just about the same location as stock. Maybe half an inch lower. The passenger side mirror is 100% usable. Little if any vibration. Buy them direct from the company. I don't have power mirrors so can't say if they can be drilled for wire pass thru.

yeah, i havent even tried to take the mirrors off the doors yet... i'd be curious what kind of harness it has and how easy it is to disconnect them.

i still havent done anything about the problem...just driving completely mirror-less fo now, BUT, i definitely want something. guess i'll likely go with something like the little round rampage mirros or something.
