Default In Moab right now and Mygig is stuck in database must be repaired....

Mygig stuck in loop keeps saying "The Music database needs to be repaired" I click OK and it will perform update to the point of 96% then restart over and over again! I am in Moab right now an I cant believe it is doing this to me now!
It will not allow me to get to any other screen. They show up in the backround but this "The Music Database needs to be Updated" window will not allow me to do anything else.

Removed Fuse to reset the Mygig and the same thing happens.
Performed update to 9.702 and still does it.

Any Ideas?

OK this is the fix if this ever happens to you.

Pull the mygig fuse or disconnect the battery..
Quickly do these steps. It may take you a few trys to get the pattern right so be patient.

1. Plug fuse in and quickly go to the MYGIG. (run to passenger door!)
2. Press the soft button "Accept"
3. Press the hard button "Radio\Media"
4. Press hard button "Menu"
5. Press soft button "System Setup"
6. Press soft button "Manage HDD"
7. Press soft button "Delete all of my Music Files"

You must do this before the "Corrupt Music Database Files" ok screen shows up.
When you so hit step 7 relax you made it! just let it sit for 5 minutes for the files to delete and then click "OK" on the "Corrupt Music Database Files" screen and it will go to 100% and tell you some files will not be able to be accessed.
Then you are all set!

Thanks. Sounds like a pain. Any idea what caused it and did you lose any files?

Yes I lost all the music I had on the MYGIG (but I have them all on my PC so no big deal) I lost nothing else at all.

Looks like a corrupted MP3 file caused the issue. Make sure all the mp3's you place on the Mygig you have listened to them all the way from begining to the end. I found one that was corrupted at the very end of the song... This is the only thing I have found so far.

update! Found a MP3 file that was actually a .wma file renamed to a .mp3. This will cause it to happen too!
