Default MOPAR door sill kit issue

Bought this kit through Qtec
MOPAR 82210106 - MOPAR® Door Sill Kit in Black Plastic with Jeep® Logo for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec
but when installed, I got issues when closing front doors on my 2013 JKUR.

Now I really have to slam them hard or push them downwards while closing, otherwise they just wont close. From what I can tell, it seems, that the sills are simply too high and are pushing against the door seals. Anybody with similar issue? Cant understand how there may be an issue with original MOPAR equipment?

You can always adjust the door latches on the body of the Jeep. : /

I've had mine on my 2-door '07 since early 2007 and no issues.

Ha. I had my half doors ordered on my JK. From the factory the door was bowed and didn't align right. Dealer said Chrysler told them to replace the hinges. They did. It's a little better and I am not letting them mess with it any more. So yes I can believe you are having problems. Sorry I can't help any though other than suggesting adjusting the the hinges yourself.

I have them on my 09 JKU. Fit Fine. I doubled up the 3M tape and put a run on the back/vertical side in addition to the bottom one it comes with. My doors are pretty tight with the hardtop on and frequently have to re-close them, it is much easier with the soft top. I associated this with Air Tightness, not the door guards though. Perhaps try it with the windows down if you have a hardtop, see if it changes anything?

Installed a set on my '11 2 dr several months ago.
Just made sure the plastic sills aligned and seated properly when I installed them.
There have been no problems since I installed them.

can you post a photo? seems strange that they would interfere with the door closing.

are all 4 doors having the problem?

I have them on my 13 4 door with no issues. Did you line everything up correctly?

If you have a hard top the doors are hard to close anyways.
