Default More aggressive tread

I have a stock X with the 17in wheels. I like the ride and height of my wrangler, but a more aggressive tread. Is there any decent choices without have to get spacers and lifts for my JK.

lifts and spacers are for larger tires, it has nothing to do with the tread patern, yes i know some tires of the same size have lugs that stick out the side allitle more than others but its not a big worry. personally i went up one size to 33" or 285/70r17 and they look great with only a little rub at full turn wich is ok by me as you're not suposed to hold it at the stop anyway and this is a good reminder. the rubbing will never damage anything as how fast can you go with the wheels fully turned.

If you just change tires for a more aggressive tread pattern, you won't have the need for spacers or lifts. If you change your tire size to larger tires and/or wider tires, then you may want to consider either spacers or lifts or both, depending on how wide, tall, etc.

Your easiest way would be to find someone that might be selling some Rubi takeoffs - it'll be both cheap, agressive, good looking and would fit your 17s, without needing spacers.

For the price, it's tough to beat the BFG KM1s that come on the Rubicon, if you're looking to stay stock size.

Friends of mine have had good luck with those. I went with some 33" Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers because I got a heck of a deal on them....I am still waiting to see how they wear with some real miles on them.

I wanted to avoid the spacers and lift right away too, so I went with 265/70/R17 Goodyear Duratracs (Load Range C). If you have any questions, let me know.

What kind of tread life do they get out of these tires?...assuming proper rotating, inflation, etc...
