Default My carpet and passenger seat do not play well together...

Is anyone else experiencing this...

Every time I need to make use of the forward tilting passenger seat or even slide the passenger seat forward, it grabs hold of the carpet along the side by the transmission tunnel, and pulls it up and out from under the console. It wads it up in front of the seat mount. Is anyone else experiencing this? I mean, it's getting annoying. I know the carpet is made to come out but come on. I have 900 miles on this new JK and I've had to reinsert the carpet 5 times already.

That's a new one on me. Never experienced that. I ran the carpet up front for at lest a tear with no issues except "wetness". Take a pic of where exactly it's snagging. Maybe someone can help u out. Good luck.

My 2014 JK does this all the time. The dealer's response? "It is a Jeep after all." Grrrr.

I'm thinking of putting BedTred in anyway, so it may be a moot point.

I recently traded my '12 in for a '14 and noticed there is a different mechanism holding the mats down. Can't say i have had an issue with the carpet in my new Jeep however i did have to monkey with it in the back seat a bit the first day i brought it home, after that it was fine.

Good luck finding a solution and please post it up here when you do.

I would of ask why jeep felt the need to put carpet in there and see what he would of said, then asked to speak to the owner. if I spend 30k+ on a new vehicle everything better work as designed and if not I should not be told "Its a Jeep after all", that's why dealerships have such a crappy image. I work in a dealership, ill give you guys some advise... if you want to find a good dealership just go around and ask the sales or service people how long they have been working there, if majority haven't been there 3+yrs move on to the next dealership. if people don't want to work there you damn sure don't want to but or get a vehicle service there. also in a good dealership most of the bad apples get weeded out within 15months.

to the OP I would call Chrysler and tell them what you were told and ask the rep if that's an acceptable answer. then take it to another dealership

this happens to me all time, I've put it back and it will stay for a while, but when I have people going in and out to the back seat quite a bit, it gets jammed up, it doesn't bother me that much, but if you get a reason let me know
