This is my final post
Ok, not really my final post, but I think its my last post sharing my exhaustive data, now that I have crossed the 100,000 mile mark. 2012 JKU sport S Max Tow hard top, purchased new in Feb 2012. 3.73 gearing, manual transmission. Pretty much kept stock except XRC rear bumper. Location = central NJ.
Total miles driven = 104,321
Number of times I've filled up gas = 375
Avg # of gallons at fill up = 17.4
Total cost in gas = $18,940.30
Approximate cost in maintenance = $2800 (routine, doing all work myself except tire installs)
Total cost of gas + maintenance = $21,740 which equals 20.9 cents per mile.
CPU vs hand calc = CPU averages 0.4 mpg higher
Average MPG over all miles driven = 16.0 (hand calc)
Average MPG with towing data removed = 17.0
Average MPG in January months = 16.1
Average MPG in July months = 18.1
