My first windshield crack
:sad2:
I caught a rock from a transport on the weekend and now I have a small (less than six inches) crack. what kind of ballpark am I looking at for replacement? |
get $0 deductible on your comprehensive insurance. The first windshield replacement will cover the annual increase in your premium.
|
How long have you had a crack problem? Nevermind, just re-read post. Sorry! :rotflmao2:

My insurance paid for it ($0 deductible) but I saw the invoice, it was just under $240 (Boston area). Safelite came and replaced it in my driveway. Great service, I'm happy. |

Exact same thing happened to me about a month ago. My insurance covered it ($50 deductible) I saw the invoice, it was $212.00. Safelite came and replaced it in my driveway. Unfortunately, now it whistles a little bit over 30mph.

Do they replace it with a windshield that has the little Jeep icon and the grille sticker (top center)?

Get insurance
Get insurance if you can. I'm on my 4th replacement in almost 2 years, with only one repair. When you catch something it doesn't graze off!:eek2:

I'll be replacing for 2nd time. Paid $200 for the first one. Gonna change my ins. for this one.
