I sprayed the inside of the latch assembly liberally with WD-40 a month ago , I haven't noticed anymore rattling since. Try it, a once a moth oiling couldn't hurt and to me it's better than letting the dealer screw around with your door and possibly mess up other stuff.

Is the revised replacement latch 4589277AF or 4589277AG? I asked the parts guy for the revised latch and he said the newer one is the "AG" I just want to confirm from others before I order. Thanks.

Do you know what is "revised" about the latch? Can you tell the difference to look at the 2 styles? I want to be able to make sure the dealer gets it right.

I have adjusted my clunk away several times but it always comes back. I also need to go get the newer latch put in it.

Seriously, I sprayed the driver door and worked the latch, it went away. I ssprayed the rest of the doors two days later and worked the latch on each one. The latch seems to be made out of some kind of plastic crap or its componets are. They clunk untill you grease them. I did mine a month ago and no more clunk. I don't think a new latch will make a difference if it's made out of the same stuff as it clunks agaist the other parts. I may be totally wrong but mine went away with some good ole WD-40, and if that's all it takes, screw the dealer messin withj your doors( Have yall read the leaky top threads?)

The new latch does make a huge difference. Can't speak for the WD-40... maybe I'll have to try that on my passenger side. I replaced the driver's side with the revised part and no more clunk. I too was one of the ones that kept adjusting and kept adjusting and it always came back. My passenger side not so much, but my driver's defenitely would always come back. With the revised latch, no more clunk.

To answer the post on the prior page about telling the difference on what is really revised. It is something internal to the latch assembly so "no" you can't tell what is differnet if you set them side by side.
