Need Mechanic input. Shifting troubles
I have a 2007 JKU. Lifted on 35s. I've had this setup for 5 yeras. Today while driving on the interstate I went to floor it to pass a car and my Jeep did not kick in to the next gear and my RPMs did not jump to the 5k range to allow me to pass. I let off the pedal, still maintaining 75 MPH and tried again.. nothing. So, I decided to push my "OD OFF" button, light comes on, I floor it and boom.. 5k RPMs, power to pass so I do. For the life of me, I don't recall my Jeep having this issue in the past. Is this normal? I feel like I it is not shifting correctly.
Couple of added tidbits.
I think I may have a cracked exhaust manifold, could this impact the JK in this manner?
I drove through a pretty good mud puddle a few weeks back. I didn't hydrolock, but my Jeep did sputter for a second, then it was fine.. Could this have impacted it today?
Could this be a sensor of some sort?
Air Filter?
Really just looking for any ideas, maybe it's just the weather, as it is windy around here, but not kicking me to OD seemed odd.
