Question Need some advise.

I’m going to be picking up my new Rescue green 4dr JK on Tuesday and I need a little advice. Is it worth it to get the clear coat, scotch guard, rust proofing, and undercoating? Each costs $299.00 CAD or $900 for all four. I’m pretty sure I want to go will the clear coat but don’t know about the other three, does anyone have any ideas or experience with these options?

Take my advice as someone that worked 4 years in the car business. All paints on cars already have a clear coat. scotch guard is useless you can do it your self for about 20-39 dollars. rust proofing is useless as if wont rust anyway unless you beat the crap out of the paint, and undercoating is also useless. Don't pay for them. The dealer is ripping you off.

the clear coat deal from the stealership is nothing more than a good wax job. you can do that yourself. i didn't get any of that on mine. Its got a good wax job on it to begin with and when i wash mine i use maguires (sorry can't spell) quick wax. you just spray it on then wipe it off it works well. that is my two cents. good luck and congrats on the new JK

The way I see it is that if the stealership wasn't making a ton of money it, they wouldn't waste their time trying to sell it (push it on) to you. I declined all of them.

Thanks for guys advice, you just saved me atleast 300 bucks . I'm going to say no to all four options.

P.S.
Is the Mopar add-a-truck a good purchase and does it work with a soft top.

they included all this (paint protection, seats, undercoating) into the price of my jeep to get me to take the plunge. I'm really interested in the clearcoat protection as it comes with scratch/dent protection -- even if I offroad the vehicle

Can anyone verify this from real world experience? if I got out and a tree limb scratches my paint, they'll actually fix it?

If this was true, we would all buy it. I don't see it happening, but good luck.

ditto on all the above. Undercoating however, you can EASILY do yourself. I'd say about 5 or 6 cans of the stuff from autozone would do it.
