I've got a friend that bought it to solve his "jump out of first gear" issue and he says that it had cured 95% of that. I had a chance to drive it and you certainly notice that it is a short throw shifter. I don't mind it, my friend that has a '15 couldn't stand it. It's just something else to get used to.

Was asking about install, then found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHTBsLW2LVY"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHTBsLW2LVY ^^^Pretty involved, but might be worth it.^^^

This reviewer said he installed without dropping the transmission; liking that version:

I'd give it a try but too expensive for me.

I think the transmission gets dropped simply to remove the foam donut-seal from between the body and the transmission?

Default B&m precision sport shifter #45195

I just ordered the B&M Racing Precision Sport Shifter #45195 for my 2013 JKUR direct from B&M Racing (bmracing.com).

Just in case anyone is interested, I got it for $444.99 with free 3-day shipping, so they knocked-off $25.00 from advertised price for a Holiday Promo when I called asking about a coupon code.

Will not be able to install for awhile, but will be sure to let y'all know how the install goes and more importantly, how it shifts.

Definitely need to lower the transmission. I probably should have loosened the rear fuel tank bolt more and lowered the transmission 4" or more. Direction say lower 2"-4", yet I still tore the donut with it lowered more than 2".

Overall installation was pretty good, used spray adhesive on the shifter donut, and jammed it back in there (pretty ugly). Shifts are much shorter, more positive and very stiff.

Look up autoedit on you tube, he recently did a video on this. Look pretty good and he loved it. His factory shifter had way more slop in it than mine does though. Dont think it'd be worth the coin for me,
