I just picked up my 2014 Willys Thurs night. While looking it over today I noticed there is an electrical wire that runs from the body into the doors. I have roll up windows and manual locks, what is this wire for? Do they come prewired for pwr locks and such?

I believe the wire you are talking about is for what triggers the interior lights on when you open the door.

It lets the Jeep know when the doors are not installed.

I have come to the conclusion it signals when the door is not closed. Was hoping it was prewired for remote lock. Oh well.

I am new to Wranglers and I am sure I will have many questions.

I've added a couple of lights, now waiting for the front bar and other lights to arrive.
