Default New soft top installation question

I just purchased a 2D Sahara with dual tops. I took off the hard top and intstalled the soft top sucessfully. After I left the top on for 2 days and had it parked outside in 70 degree sunny weather, I flipped the sunrider back. It was back for 1 day and then overnight in the garage. I tried to close it today and it was about 1/2 inch too short. How long will it take the top to permanately stretch??

I think you will find it does stretch some over time but you will still find it a little harder to put back up at the end of the day when the temp cools.

When it is cool out and the top has shrunk too much too latch my trick is to lower the top down and turn the heat on full blast after a few minutes the top will expand from that warmth and you will be able to latch it easily.

after using my sunrider top for a full summer it never got better. on a warm day i could open it and then five minutes later try to close it and it would be just short of the latch. i always have to unhook the rear to get the extra slack.

all i do is completely open the latch to extend it fully, pull on the header bar a little bit and latch it. I never really had an issue with this where I had to undue the rear or anything.

And my soft top is new, only been used about 4 times

LOL, Dirty pool.

Has everyone heard the joke about the woman who wanted to get a boob job and the doctor told her it would cost $5,000. She went home and told her husband how much it would be and he went into the bathroom and brought back a roll of toilet paper. He said

"Here, rub some of that between your breasts everyday."

"Why?" she asks.

"It made your butt bigger didn't it?"

Has anyone else come across this issue? I put my soft top on for the first time, have let it sit in the sun for two days, and still can't close the sunrider top without loosening the back to make up for the 1/2 inch or so that I'm short ... including me pulling on the head bar as hard as I can without breaking anything.....
