I was having a similar problem. Make sure you don't release the two safety latches when using the Sunrider, like would if you were putting the top all the way down. I was hitting the release each time and had to loosen up the back, etc in order to get the extra 1/2 inch. Now...when the safety latches stayed latched, takes 30 sec, no issues at all, even in 60 deg.

That did the trick. Seems such a simple answer in retrospect. There goes an hour of my life I'll never get back.

Glad it helped!!

Took me about three weeks and lots of before I figured it out.

Same goes for when the top is fully down and you're putting it back up. If you stand on the rear bumper and give the whole top a nice push forward to get those buttons to latch, the final windshield latches are a piece of cake.
