You have got to be kidding.
The Jeep monitors how long the engine runs so that it can turn on the "Change Oil" message before the 4200km distance if the engine has idled too long, but there is no way of letting you know that any second you are going to be stuck on the inside lane of a 8 lane highway in crappy weather without washer fluid.
This is stupid, let alone down right dangerous.
Id even go so far as to say the company is endangering its customers by placing them in a situation which could unexpectedly put them in danger.
I have searched this forum, others, and the rest of the internet, and come up with nothing, NADA on this.
Is it just me?
Maybe you don't ever get slush, snow, road grim etc in the States, but we sure do up here in Canada.
I was lucky, I discovered this design flaw on a bright sunny afternoon driving home with just a slight amount of crud on the windshield. Since I was only a mile or so from the dealer, I didn't even stop to see what the problem was, but went straight there.
He topped off the washer fluid and said "give er a try"
Sure enough it worked.
Then he (service manager) said, I don't think the wrangler has a low fluid light.
WTF?
Isn't this important?

Oh I should add,
that Ive read the owners manual twice,
Nope, nothing that I can find in there about a warning light or a message like there apparently is on the compass

No, the Jeep has no such indicating light.
I live in western NY, snow slush ice & hail central & i have never owned anything that had a washer fluid level sensor. To me it's just something i check once a week like my oil. I am under there anyways so i just look atthe tank.
Yes, i check my oil about every 8-10 days, when i need to fill up the gas tank i check it while it is filling. Got nothing else to do at that time anyhow.

A low Fluid indicator light? Are you serious? Do you not peform regular maintenance and monitoring of your ride?
Like checking the oil, tire pressures, and washer fluid? Really don't intend to stir the pot but of all the things to complain about, a low washer fluid indicator?

Damn, there's no low oil light, no low brake fluid light, or no low anti-freeze light either. What is the world coming to? I guess personal responsibility for the upkeep of the equipment someone owns is non-existent. I just noticed that I don't have a loose track bar bolt light. What ever will I do?
