No paperwork after getting service?
We just got ours back today from having a few items fixed and they said they don't give paperwork out. . . "it's all in the computer". This was the first time getting service at this dealer, our selling dealer.
First time I haven't received any paperwork in over 15 years of taking vehicles in. Is this normal at some places now or?
They also replaced the windshield and sent my fiance home in it 4 hours later. . . in a rain storm, so that should be interesting to see if it leaks.

I would point blank ask them if the printer was out of paper.
Based on the answer to that question:
1) yes, it is out of paper.
Then I suggest you send someone to the closest Wally World, Office Depot, etc, and pick up a box because I am not leaving until I have a copy of what was done to my vehicle
2) ummm, no it isn't out of paper (at this point, don't let them finish any other "part" of an excuse)
Then please click Print Copy for me so I can be on my way. I am not leaving until I have a hard copy of what was done to my vehicle

Update:. . .
They finally called me back an hour later and said they had to order in the new rear seal for the 6-speed, a new "right turn signal switch", and since everything was on a single ticket we'd get the paperwork after we bring it back in and it's all fixed. (The door still has an obvious gap, so that still needs some work and they couldn't reproduce the "chirp" while shifting, so that's probably going to be another trip also.)
They told my fiance everything was fixed when she picked it up.

"That's fine, just give me the computer then, and the next time I come in with the same problem, I'll just let you know it's in the computer"
