Default Not-So-Good Vibrations...

This started happening within the last week:

[Automatic transmission, stock JK, 2011, 4500 miles]

(1) At idle, whilst in drive, the Jeep sounds like it is bogging, struggling. When I say that I am idling and in drive, think of it as sitting at a stoplight. RPM's = 600-ish.
(2) Between 40-55 mph, approximately 2200-2400 rpm, I get a similar noise... but only while accelerating.

In both cases, I can feel the associated vibration in the gas medal and the passenger feels it via the footwell/floor. The only notable change that I can think of is that the front bumper was backed into a week before the above items started occurring.

Any idea what may be causing the issue(s)? I'm stumped and, naturally, with the holiday weekend (and my being on vacation) I have yet to stop by the dealer. I'll be seeing the service department tomorrow morning.

Thanks.

Have you cycled the ignition for codes?
does it do it when the heat and blower motor are off?
I ask the 2nd question wondering if when the front was hit maybe it jostled something loose enough to when the a/c compressor comes on something in the ducting system is rattling?
I'm just thinking out loud because I can feel the slight skip when the compressor turns on and off at idle and even at highway speed.

I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning for their opinion -- save for a drive to show them the issue, I'll also ask if they will check for codes. To date, nothing has come up on the dash... in way of lights.

One of my initial thoughts was that the heat/blower motor may be sucking some life... the bogging noise occurs regardless of the heat being on/off.

I do appreciate the feedback... I've tried a few things to try and isolate the occurrence and the two items noted in the original post are what have fallen out of those isolation attempts.

Thanks.

Its your torque converter, not an uncommon issue.

But that TSB is from 2007... is this still common reflective of 2011 models?

Thanks.

The Jeep is at the dealership as of this morning. Initial comment from the Service Manager is either a broken engine mount (which one of my first inclinations) or a "grounding" issue. He kept looking at the muffler, thinking that there was a rattle (heat shield / skid / related).

Stay tuned.

Turned out to be a broken transmission mount. Replaced under warranty. The noticeable vibrations are gone, at least as observed during the drive home.
