Default O2 Sensor, EGR and Manifold issues...

I have been fighting with many issues that never seem to go away...
the latest is a cracked driver side manifold, and both O2 sensors on that side are bad.
the top sensor is giving both volt high and low errors and the bottom is giving a high error.

I am getting the manifold replaced under warranty, but the sensors are not covered, looking at almost $300 to replace them both.
my beef is that it seems kind of odd that both are bad and they are on the same side as the crack.
does this sound like BS to any one else?
I asked the service rep if he found it odd and why they wouldnt be replaced as part of the mani issue, he said the codes are unrelated to a leak therefore not covered.

the first O2 sensor error came up right after having the EGR valve replaced.
right before the EGR valve was replaced I was going through coolant like mad, took it in 3 times, all 3 times they said there is nothing wrong and charged me $100.
we're talking over a 1 month period losing almost all the overflow tank volume, 3 times!

on top of this I'm dropping oil, no signs of a leak, but going through 1-2 litres between changes, is this normal for 72,000 km's? also I've been running mobil 1 syn since new.

with these issues alone I've spent well over $1000 and still have no real conclusion other than the manifold being replaced. I'm going to replace the sensors myself.

I guess this is just my vent....
