Default OBD port connector damaged

So, believe it or not, I let my wife drive my Jeep and what she did?
Confused the OBD port with a parking brake as in her Odyssey and stepped on it cracking the plastic connector.

So, the connector now is dangling by the wires of the cable that connect to the computer.

The locking part is broken and cannot be glued back.

I am wondering I should take the Jeep back to the dealer or try to fix it myself.

Everything seem to be working but I do not want to leave that stuff dangling there. Also would like to move it to a safer position.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Holy crap that sucks!!! I'm not one to go running to the dealer with problems, but that port is pretty important. You might want to take it in. Worst case you get a repair quote, best case...warranty maybe?

The terminals are held into the connector by little lock fingers in the connector. You will need a small pick to release the terminal to pull it out of the connector. I would have the new connector right there and insert each wire into the new connector cavity to make sure the wires do not get miss pinned.
