For those of you who have worn/broken OEM Rubicon axle locker actuators, new actuators are now available.
I have seen them at the dealer for $62, and from on-line MOPAR parts dealers for less.

Edit to add (4 March 2016):
The price of the actuator now, just 2 months after it was only $62 at the dealer, is about 5.5 times higher.

Here is a picture of what part of the actuator wears to the point of diminished locking ability. The worn ring is identified in the picture.

Another thing that breaks is the harness, as shown in the picture.

Here is a picture of the new actuator with a not-worn ring.

Here is a picture of the new actuator, and the parts that come with it.

Thanks, Ron -- Great info. That's a surprising amount of wear on that actuator ring.

Ron, if I understand how it works, that wear is happening when the locker is engaged ???

I would say so. That's when it sees the most load. If someone takes theirs apart for some other reason, and the locker was not engaged much over a lot of miles, we could compare the wear on the one in this thread, (lots of engaged use), to one that wasn't engaged much.

My locker is stuck locked, I pulled the cover and slid the plate over but it's still locked so I'm assuming the dog clutch is stuck, so if I pull it back apart is there any way to un lock it that doesn't require replacing part? Have a wheeling trip this weekend that I was planning on taking the jku on instead of my tj so I'm trying to get this sorted out quick

Because photobucket suddenly decided to charge $400 a year to have the pictures view-able on 3rd party sites.
