Default Oil filter

I know this has been covered but I can't find it......so can someone tell me what number oil filter (like a PH8A for 302 Ford) I need for my 2011 Wrangler Unlimited 3.8 Liter? Every place I have been has no info except for 2010 JKU. I don't want to go to the stealership for a OEM filter. Also feel free to give advice as to what brand filter to run too so I won't have drain back and avoid dry starts. Oil will be 5W20 Mobil One and I will be changing factory oil at 3000 miles. Thanks in advance for any help....

The 2011 has the same 3.8 engine as the 2007-2010 models, so the filter should be the same.

Check, the owners manual, cd, download, what ever you got with your 2011 JK.

If you can't find the JK in the book, you could always just look up the Town and Country minivan

handy list...what it tells me is that the extended length filter is the same as the 3.7 V6 in my Ram 1500ST pickup...now I can stock ONE less filter...

Thanks for the list. I glanced at it and thought, hey, that looks familiar... I double-checked and the standard length filters are the same ones that fit my BMW motorcycle.

Well not really...the real BMW filters flow the OTHER way.
