Ordering new Rubicon Tuesday. 2012 owners , let me hear your 2 bits....

Was dealing on last Arctic in existence up here.. not going to happen. Have decided to order new Rucbicon.

Oredering do I can get just what I want. Going with White with white roof. Leather .

Do some mild offroading that goes along with the camping and snowmobiling. Will pull 2 sleds and in summer two Seadoos.
was going with 3:73s. Please give me any feedback our suggestions on any likes/dislikes on order items prior to signing off on it.

Thanks

For "mild offroading" I'd get the Sahara with 3.73s. Why the Rubicon?

Have to be in 4 low for lockers, LSD rear works better for "mild offroading"
Get some ACE sliders as a lot have
Most go aftermarket for wheels/tires so plenty of factory available cheap
Of the three trim levels, Rubicon has the lowest % of initial purchase "resale value" with Sport being the highest (everyone assumes Rubicons have been beat on)
Dana 30 is plenty strong for "mild offroading"

FYI - the Arctic model is just a Sahara with black wheels and MTs.

I have an auto w/ 4.10s, 65mph is right at 2500 RPMs. If you aren't going to get bigger tires, I'd stick with the 3.73s.

I think I agree with ranjr. At least look at the difference in price. It might make a lot more sense to go with a sport or Sahara. Don't get me wrong, I love the rubi and wish I had one, but if you're doing mild off roading you would probably be better off with one of the others. I've been very impressed with the capabilities of my sport

traded my 11 sport for a 12 dozer rubicon. best decision i made. get what you want. cause on the back of your mind you are gonna want one and be unhappy.

It's your money get what you can afford and what you want... The Rubicon was within my budget so I went for it and am extremely satisfied with my decision.

Here's a good article on resale values - http://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-cars-....html?page=all

Edge hawk is right. I have a rubi auto with 4.10. Drives better with 35 s than it did with 32s. If i wasn't lifting ans doing 35s i would get 3.73. Get the rubi then you have it should you ever need it. Resale on a jeep is nuts regardless of model. I know the dealers dont give a discount on used rubis if they have been beat on. At least the ones i looked at over the years didnt
