worn out rings on the old engine. I'm saying the reason I ever even bought an engine from powertrain is because of worn out rings on the last engine that was in the jeep. And 7 yr no fault never seen that anywhere. Warranty is suppose to be a 36 month 100k mile.

Ahh, I misread that about the old engine, sorry. It still sucks that you had this one fail on you so quickly and they weren't willing to budge to help you out. I had considered the powertrain products motor for a long while now as opposed to Jasper (nothing but problems in the past on 3 different motors from them) and the factory motor that I can pick up at a dealer ($$$$$$$). Hopefully this was a fluke and not the standard for them.

I'm sure I could have gotten them to make it right but honestly I didn't have the patience or the motivation to pull the engine just to ship it back and wait to see what they have to say. I had a new cam and bearings in my shop for the original engines rebuild I planned on doing and a new head as well that i just used to replace what went bad on the new one. I've got a couple thousand miles on the engine since all of this now daily driven and its running great for now. I'm out a new cam, bearings and a head but I got my jeep back so it is what it is.. I hate being impatient lol
