Default PLEASE HELP!!! Replacing CPS

I need help desperately! I was towing my friend off the beach yesterday with my 07 JK Rubicon. Once I got him off the sand the light with the lightning bolt went on on my dash. I took out my code reader (Helpful when you keep it in your truck) and read a code P0335 which is "crank position A circuit" or something close to that. So long story short I am currently trying to remove the CKP and it slid out of it's "sleeve" and cracked. I can get pliers on it and turn it but I can't pull it out. Does it need to be at a certain spot or is there a key I have to line up with a slot. Please Help!!!!! because I need the truck for work tomorrow. Thanks, Jeff

"Sorry I meant CKP, Crank position sensor"

No, no one here helped. I attempted it on my own and it broke. Cost a couple hundred bucks to get it out. Wish someone cared to help a little more.

Kind of an obscure question. I highly doubt that anyone who knew the answer just chose to ignore you. Jeez.

Ha, nice caption. Well for those who don't know. It is just a bolt on the bell housing and a plug to remove but be very careful because of the location it gets very brittle.

A lot of people log on and go right to "new posts". I have noticed not all the new posts show every time.

Did replacing the CKP fix your problem?
