88k on the odo but I never recalibrated it for the tires so it is probably 5% higher.

Drive 40 miles round trip 5 days a week. Runs fine. No oil consumption. 6spd with 4.21 gears so it can move a little better now than with the 3.21s. MPG went down a little with the change but the re-gear woke it up a lot.

The engine seems fine for dependability etc... but for the low mpg and low HP it is disappointing.

I like the Pentastar engine. My wife has a 2011 GC V6 and it is a nice engine.
Update: 110 k. started burning oil so took it in for look see. Replaced the head gaskets, waterpump, and oil pan gasket... No charge. Love this warranty

Please let us know if that cures the oil burning.

Checking back in with 187400 now. Burns a bit of oil between changes but nothing terrible. Original clutch, just put a new set of Nitto's on it and had a 4 wheel alignment that was needed big time. Rides awesome now, better than I remember. Get the feeling that I'm going to need to replace the battery again before the winter is over. Had cold spell few weeks ago and she was dead. My fog lights stopped working at the multifunction switch a while back. Intermittent issue with the starter. Sounds like the engine is full of gravel when cranking it. I'll probably need to replace the starter eventually. Engine is still going strong, runs smooth, still on the original set of plugs. The 3.8 is solid. Should be ready to hit 200k by late summer or the fall.

Turning 260,000klm this week. 5w30 Amsoil with the larger filter. Burns 1/2 Qrt oil in 10,000klm (6,000mi). Switching to Amsoil European 5w40 next oil change this week. Motor itself has had no work other the sparkplugs, wires, and PCV changed. In process of doing O2 sensors.
Transmission has had no work just regular flush and filter change.

Not to derail the thread, but do you have good records for on-road fuel consumption? I would like to see the effect of going to a thicker oil has. I know what and why, but would love to see how much of an effect it is.

Gonna be hard to tell until summer time when we are back on summer fuel but I will monitor the change and see if it is significant.

My Jeep has shown no noticeable difference in fuel economy from 0w20 to 10w30 to 0w40 and everything in between, fwiw.

Default Spun bearings

08 Rubicon bought in March 2015. Drove it until October of that same year and jeep spun bearings. Took it to a local rebuild shop and had them install a long block. Drove that for about 1000 miles and on a trip during the holidays. This darn thing decides to spin another bearing. Towed it back took it to the shop and they said timing cover was not letting the oil pump seat properly and that i needed a new cover. Paid an additional $1500. For cover and fluids. Drover this thing about a year and on the same trip but this time on the way back it decudes to spin another bearing. Had to rent uhaul with transporter and currently at the shop. Waiting to see what they come up with. Love the jeep but very disapointed in the product. Jeep had 72,000 miles when i bought it and currently has about 83,000 don't really drive it much this is my weekend toy.

Dang, that's a terrible story -- Like winning the lottery in reverse. Suggest doing a regular oil analyses to assure yourself that repairs were actually successful, and to potentially get advanced warning of impending doom.

That's a good suggestion I will be doing that on the next go around. I'm just not understanding why this would happen on three different blocks and cranks.
