Default Possible attempted theft?????

So when I went out to my JK this morning I pushed my little key FOB unlock like normal, except this time when I unlocked it, the JK honked at me. I seem to remeber reading in the manual somewhere that if the system honks at you when unlocking it indicates an attempted entery into the vehicle? Can anyone refresh my memory on this if I am right or not?

Nothing was damaged or stolen (I do have a hard top and full doors), but I have to park it on the street cause it wont fit in my garage. And I thought I lived in a safe neighboorhood?

I havent heard of this but that would be interesting. Maybe try to open the door when it is locked then see if it honks when you use the fob. Ill stay tuned to this to see if someone knows for sure.

Multiple short beeps mean attempted entry (3 or 4 i think)

One beep is something else and I don't think anyone has figured out wtf it is.

This has happened to me 3-4 times out of probably over a thousand unlocks. One was in my own locked garage, so probably not theft attempt. When this happens, you might also notice that the radio turns on for a few seconds and then shuts itself off. Good times.

only one beep, but no issues with the radio, came on to to the cd that was in when i shut it down and stayed on.

Thantos:
Thanks for the refresher. I was able to get it to do it again (1 beep) but i had to yank on the door handles like I was trying to pull them off! Who knows, maybe it is just a glitch.

Mine has done this a few times as well and I have no idea why because the honk on lock/unlock is disabled. It does it once in a blue moon, but then again i've tried multiple times to enable the honk on lock feature and it just wont do it. I'm beginning to think our JK's have a mind of their own
