Default Power steering problems

I have been having intermitent power steering failure at low speed. Usually fulling into or out of a parking spot.
Fluid level is ok, everything looks ok with the belt, pump linkage ect>

Anyone have this prob? I will prob. take it to the dealer next week also have to get the soft top fixed and the door hinge rust addressed.

Thanks

I run my stock rubi wheels and tires, but I run 36" swampers on 15" rims when I wheel.
I will check the TSB's .

Thanks

Its an auto. I checked that too. Took it to the dealership yesterday and they said it was because I had gotten mud all over the belt.........We shall see about that.

I had this problem after getting stuck in a snow bank, kept the wheel turned too far for too long, blew the power steering pump.

This is a common problem, I took it to the dealer and gave them the look, and they replaced it under warrenty, unfortunatly the pumps seem to be in high demand as they were on backorder for 3 weeks.

Mines all good now, but I might get a power assist when I upgrade to 35" tires.

Do you have a power assist mod in mind? Who makes it?

bleed your power steering box. A system with air in it will do the same thing... At idle turn your steering wheel lock to lock about a dozen times. DO NOT hold it at full lock or you might blow a seal. Then check your fluid.
