RubyDoo only gets the noise after running for a while likes it a pump lightly low on fluid but fluid level is fine. According to my Jeep tech guy the fluid needs to be changed and filter in bottom of resavore needs to be cleaned.

Mine died at 13,000 kms. At first I was just loosing power steering at low rpm (ie. slowing down on the highway off ramp! not good!!) A couple days later it died altogether.

I had to deal with the same back order bs. Took about a week and a half to get the part in at the stealership. The mechanic at the shop said something about a vein blowing inside the pump. I have no idea about the inner workings of the power steeriing pump, it could be a BS line.

Then when I finally got the Jeep back the jokers didn't fill the power steering fluid at all!!

I just talked to the parts guy at my dealership and he said there are a lot of parts on backorder. There has been a Chrysler Pacifica in the body shop for four months waiting for a radiator support. I would have called Obama to see what he had to say about it...

well i looked under my hood today while my jeep was running and it seems like the loud Reeeeaaaaaarrrrrr noise is coming from the belt on the front side of the engine. my warrenty has a 100 deposit, and the shop down the street wants to charge 75 just to look at it... any idea on what it is? It gets louder when i step on the gas but and at higher rpms

Mine does that too. The dealer says it's an idler pulley but the parts been on back order for about a month now. I don't really care cause it sorta sounds like it's supercharged.
That's it, bad idler pulley = poor mans supercharger...

I think my PS pump is starting to go at 47,000 miles. I get the belt squeal from passenger's side under the hood in low rpm turns (stop signs, turning into my driveway etc). Back in the beginning it would only do it infrequently then it was a couple of times a week and now we're up to a couple a day (unless I'm at the dealer ). I also noticed that at idle the fluid in the reservoir is bubbling around like a mini fountain. Not sure if it did that before or not. I remember back when I first noticed it and mentioned it to the dealer they suggested a new belt That was with under 12k on the original with no signs of wear. I'm sure they'll say 33's caused the pump to fail.

mine just went out! doing a doughnut in the snow, cant steer at all now. all bone stock with 27k miles on it. Doesnt matter if im doing 2mph of 40 mph, it takes a lot of muscle to turn the steering wheel. Looked around and nothing looks bent or pinched or messed up in anyway.
