And my friends made fun of me for refusing to buy a Jeep with power windows or locks. I just like manual stuff, especially in my Jeep. It's funny my friend with a Sahara wants to do the same for his front windows. I guess I'm not the only crazy one!

It's got an electronic transmission, with a dial for the gear selector, touch screen radio that works but sometimes it's technical, and then my cruise doesn't work half the time and I need to have cruise since being tall doesn't work well for me. And I have an oil compression sensor going out.. I have had more problems with my truck than I did my jeep. The only serious issues I had with my jeep was when I cracked the cylinder head. And all the other little things the dealer fixed which I had no complaints about anyways. So it wasn't a big deal to me I loved that damn thing... And was some how talked into trading it in.
Actually the door weight isnt that much different at least from the feel of lifting when taking them off the Jeep. Mine has power windows, locks and my daughters is all manual, both 13's. Don't know if its worth it but you should be able to buy the manual parts and swap things out I would think. Best thing would be to call a good Jeep parts place and talk it thru. I bought my my Jeeps used and lets face it unless you are going to give endless time until you acquire your new ride you are going to have to give on something and I would say the starting point to me would be the model year. Hey one more year on power train coverage never hurts.
