Is there a difference between a 2007 and a 2010 soft top?? Im wanting to put one on a 2008.

 

The header along the front is different. The 07-08's had a weaker header that was known to warp (just about all of us get the annoying whistle sound). I believe it was in late 09's that it was changed. Any '10 model should have the later design that shouldnt warp.

Otherwise I think they are the same.

 

The 2010 also uses cables along the sides instead of the plastic clips

 

So is it worth to buy a 2007...$500 or find a new version?

 

If you don't have the frame either then i would buy one for a 2010 and have the header modified at a fab shop if it needs it. the rest should be the same.
