Default Remove and replace suspension

While I'm thinking of it (posting from phone) Is a spring compressor necessary for removal of stock springs or installation of new springs? Shocks and springs will be replaced with JKUR components on my 2 dr.

Seems like it's pretty straight forward, just need to compile a tool list and make sure I have everything handy.

Thanks for anything.

Definitely don't need a spring compressor. I put in 2" spacers by myself and didn't need one. You probably wont even need to disconnect the track bar.

They are nice to have but not necessary. I've done springs and shocks on both a JK and JKU and as long as you put the jack stands in the right spot on the front axle and have everything loosened and/or disconnected...brake lines, sway bar, etc. you will be fine with out them.

Nope. Just disconnect the shocks, sway bar links, and be careful of the brake lines. Push one side of the axle down and you can pull the spring out.

Awesome, appreciate the help.

I'm more experienced with Honda/Acura suspension so this will be a first. I am used to closing wheel gaps, now I'm onto increasing them.

I meet the nicest people in a Jeep.
