Does anyone know how to remove the factory upper dash panel that sits above the radio? Thanks, Brian

Just pry it off. Check out the directions on the daystar dash panel. They give you pictures of how to do it.

Those are good directions, thin screwdriver and paper towel, pop them off. I just added the daystar panel a week or two ago. Great mod to do for under $30!

stiff Plastic Spatulas work well too, also work for the front console removal as well.
The advantage with spatulas is the distribution of force across the plastic to better prevent marring, stressing it.

Even better, get a set of nylon auto installer tools. I got a set for $5 at Harbor Freight and they are perfect for prying things like that. They also work great to get those grill fasteners out.

Default Note about Daystar Panel....

Since the compass sending unit attaches to the underside of the daystar tray I find when I put my cell phone up there the compass goes haywire due to the cell signal. Once I move it the compass goes back to normal.

I used my AAA card, worked great and I didn't even have to get out of the Jeep to get it.
