Replacing factory lug nuts.
This is kind of a ridiculous post, but figured I'd put it out regardless.
I've had my wheels on and off so many times that the decorative caps on the factory lug nuts have started to separate on 3 or 4 lug nuts. I'm getting a little tired of RTV'ing a cap or two back on every time I rotate tires or what have you. I figure I can pick up some factory take-off's... but... are there any others to consider? Lug nuts are such a simple item, I never considered to educate myself on what's out there on the market. |
Be sure and get the 1/2" ones. Most of them are the same. Just look for the ones with the 1/2" and bevel in their bottom.

I went with the Gorilla 23 piece, spline drive style, in black chrome.
46.99 @ quadratec. They look sweet & are better quality than the crappy oem ones. |
I have the McGard 64010 lugnuts. They seem to hold up very well after a few years and about 30,000 miles. I would recommend.

I have the Gorilla lifetime #41188LT lug nuts on my JK and they're awesome. I paid $3 each, but definitely worth it to not worry about them falling apart.

Oh ya, mine are black and I've had them on a year and look great. No problems.

I have Pro-Comp's black lugs and they seem to be holding up great, I remove tires regularly:thumbsup:
