Default reving higher..

Usually the jeep would always sit at 500 rpms when it was warmed up etc. Now i have noticed the lowest it goes is about 600/700rpms? Any idea what would be causing this. Its been colder but the jeep has had good opportunity to warm up and there has been no change?

Thanks
Chris

The engine breaking in could explain it, or did you by chance have the a/c or defroster on when the idle was lower? The a/c or defrost can lower the idle because of the extra load.

Hey I am almost at 2000km. and not a thing was on when it was idling. It is more near 800rpm when it is idling vs 500 for the entire last month even while it was breaking in.
